John T Smith Oct 27, 2011 8:34 AM (in response to ferdinandNGC)Exactly what kind of mpeg are you trying to edit?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below
.
For PC http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ or http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en

JSS1138 Oct 27, 2011 9:41 AM (in response to ferdinandNGC)My recommendation would be to not use Windows Media Player. It's about the worst one out there.
KM Player, VLC, GOM Player, UM Player are all better media players. Try one of them instead.

ferdinandNGC Oct 27, 2011 10:39 AM (in response to JSS1138)John using GSpot it says I am using the Mpeg2 video codec. I believe I might have a solution.
I rolled back the lastes Geforce GTX 480 Driver (285.62) to the old one on my system Driver (275.33).
The mpeg files now show when using Windows Media. Hope it lasts.
Jim you are correct about Windows Media and I am going to use one of your alternatives in the future.
