bogiesan Oct 31, 2011 9:36 AM (in response to dwaynie)My usual response to this and similar inquiries, which we get often, is to offer this advice: A wee bit of these effecs goes a really long way. If you examine old analog video (which isn't THAT old, sheesh) the defects and artifacts that identify it as such are not always obvious. You do not need to beat your audience over the head to communicate VHS as the source. You need to remember there was o 16x9 VHS.
My favorite way to emulate VHS is to dub to VHS and capture from VHS.

Agreed. 100% authentic, and quite efficient.
