Is it possible to use the out of the box 5.5 caption widgets as the Success, Failure and Hint actions?

I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for your help!

Hello and welcome to the forum,

The default captions are built into the default quiz slides, they do not have a separate timeline. I do not believe you can replace them by a widget.

Thanks Lilybiri. I wasn't using a quiz slide, just a regular button. Does that change anything?

You should be able to do it but it will take some work:

  • uncheck all captions in the Options accordion of the button
  • insert two widgets to be used for the Success/Failure caption and set them to invisible in the Properties panel
  • add the actions to show the proper widget as Success/failure actions for the button
  • for the Hint caption, you'll have to use a rollover slidelet with a widget on it

Thanks! I will try that out. Doesn't seem too hard. That's unfortunate you can't do that with the button options.
