    Lightening in Illustrator

Well, I can't remember the last time I posted in the Illustrator forum.  I don't really use this program a lot, so I'm not great with it.

Here's my question:  I have an Illustrator file which is made up of different shapes that all have gradients applied.  Everything is vector, but I'd like to be able to lighten the entire thing overall.  Is there any easy way to do that?  I'm considering just rasterizing it and ghosting it back in Photoshop, but perhaps there's an easy way to achieve this effect directly in Illustrator (?).  There are so many colors and gradients that it'd be difficult to do manually.  And I'd really prefer not to rasterize it as I'm stretching it in the layout (and don' want to stretch a rasterized file).

      Thanks for any suggestions,

      Phyllis
