merged WebHelp: drop-down Index and Search boxes

I think I once saw a sample WebHelp with a drop-down box on the Index and Search tabs. This allowed the user to select a project and see its unique index and search entries. Does anyone have instructions for creating and using such boxes?

Just a further note - I've read the RoboWizard's wonderful Skinny on Skins, and find Java script info that might be useful, but nothing clearly indicated for selecting individual index & search entries.
