Flash player installs but flash plyer does not work

In September, YouTube videos no longer would play on my computer.  In addition, the coupon loader that comes from various coupon sites would not operate.  When I click to download coupsn, I am prompted to install the most recent Abobe Flash.  I install and the installation is successful according to the adobe message at the end of installation.  But, the coupon loader is still inop and states that I need to install the latest flash player.  This is a loop that will repeat

I beleive that YouTube uses adobe flash too

I have Windows Vista

My compter is 32 bit

My browser is IE (when Chrome is added to the flash installation, the same problem occurs)

I am a computer novice so I need some help in figuring this out
