Firefox update and Adobe are killing each other.

I have tried since i dled the new firefox to unistall and use other suggestions here to fix this issue. Nothin unistalled all the way redid jack squat. All i care about is a fix for it to work.

64 bit windows 7

with 4gb ram

ANY freaking good idea on how to fix this perfecto sides a link to the unistall reinstall thing. The main page that does that sucks donkey!

Sorry, it is not clear what your problem is.

Installers and uninstallers are here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550 - make sure Firefox is closed when running the uninstaller / installer.

My problem is with the last verison of firefox. Adobe wouldnt work so i tried updating and didnt work. Unistalled and reinstalled (total pain in the tail didnt work). Got here did some of the links i found installed but wont show up as working with firefox. The plugin never comes up i think. I need a freakin soultion to this.

What "last version" of Firefox?

Did you run the 32-bit or 64-bit installer?

Do you see Shockwave Flash under about:plugins and is it enabled?

The brand new updated 8.0 and i did the one that is on the first dl page that includes both. *it didnt work* . Then i tried to do the seperate one of 64 bit it didnt work. 32 didnt either and at first Shcokwave did show it was up but wouldnt work then i ran the unistaller and it quit showing up. Tried running them again and jack squat .

Flash Player 11 works fine on my 64-bit system with Firefox 8.0

After you run the uninstaller, what files do you have left in

• C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
• C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash ?

The unistaller its self is there and two files that go with it. I deleted them and now still nothing any ideas on how to get thsi fixed? I am going crazy not playin some of my games cause of it.

Try running only then 64-bit installer, then post the contents of the FlashInstall.log files here.

There seems to be a problem writing flashplayer.xpt to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash - did you delete that file from the folder after uninstalling?

Usually I see this error (5) if a file cannot be deleted from a folder.

I think so on the first run after finding it. But how can i fix that?

I don't know why it cannot write to that folder.  You are running the installer as an Administrator user?

Next try to delete both install folders; the installer should recreate them with proper permissions.
