Aad Metz Nov 22, 2011 9:39 AM (in response to BobLevine)Allright Bob.
And is it scriptable?
For example:
- You give a code for a word to be in the indez in InCopy; f.e. : This <#word> has to be...
- And when you go to InDesign the words between '<#' and '>' will add the word to the index
?

BobLevine Nov 22, 2011 9:44 AM (in response to Aad Metz)You might want to try the scripting forum. That gets a lot more traffic than the InCopy forum.

davehaigh Aug 8, 2012 7:25 AM (in response to BobLevine)Aad Metz - Did you have any luck figuring out the best way to do this? Did you end up using a script to generate your index from a list of tags or did you go down another route

5. Re: Index and InCopy
Frans van der Geest Aug 16, 2012 9:04 AM (in response to davehaigh)There is a script that can make index markers based on character styles. Create a charater style for your editors and let them 'mark' with this. Then when returned in InDesign you can run the script.
Find the scipt here:

I've posted a question in the InCopy Scripting forum about 2 months sgo but have had no repsonses. There has only been 3 posts on that forum in the last 11-12 months.
Bob, as this question was asked nearly 12 months ago, have you any updated advice on this question? Is there a different forum I could try?
