1. Re: how to apply "scale to frame size" to a bunch of stills in CS4 and most likely all PP pro.
Ann Bens Nov 22, 2011 2:21 AM (in response to Michelmnr)Look in your prefereces/general there you will find the setting for 'default scale to framesize'.

Michelmnr Nov 22, 2011 3:40 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Thanks Ann, sure is! Once again I made the wrong choice, looked at the set up for my new sequence or project and could not see it there. I hope those coming across this discussion will see your entry as well :) ...I just ticked that little box, a lot easier again than applying the effect to the time line, I wonder if I should borrow some memory from my pc, seems I need it more than it does.

Michelmnr Nov 22, 2011 5:38 PM (in response to Michelmnr)But it seems that it has to be done before importing the pictures!

Bill Hunt Nov 22, 2011 6:15 PM (in response to Michelmnr)Can you Select the entire group on the Timeline, and then Rt-click, choosing Scale to Default Frame Size?
There are a couple of places, where this can be invoked, and with CS4, not sure that I can reall them all.
Good luck,
Hunt

5. Re: how to apply "scale to frame size" to a bunch of stills in CS4 and most likely all PP pro.
Michelmnr Nov 22, 2011 7:03 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)Yes that's right Bill, I think that's what the video did show and that I tried to share in "my discussion" But Ann explained to me how to turn it on as a default from Preference which is a smarter way to go about it, providing it's done before importing the pictures in the project window. Else, yes that the way to do it!
Actually it would be nice to be able to choose the size of the frame so to fit it directly into the safe area which ever is chosen, it would cut a couple of steps when animating the still, avoiding scaling into the safe area (I'm a dreamer!)

Bill Hunt Nov 22, 2011 8:58 PM (in response to Michelmnr)In Edit>Preferences, those setting take place, before you Import into a Project, and I though that you had alread done that.
Sorry,
Hunt

Michelmnr Nov 23, 2011 4:56 AM (in response to Bill Hunt)No need to apologize, I'm probably creating the confusion! Thanks again MM
