P Spier Nov 30, 2011 5:46 AM (in response to Grant H)Can you include the rotation of the gradient as part of the cell style though? You can't include it as part of the swatch...

Grant H Nov 30, 2011 6:05 AM (in response to P Spier)well you can select a cell, apply a gradient at an angle, and while selected create a new cell style.

4. Re: Gradient Fills in Table Cells
peterpica Nov 30, 2011 7:51 AM (in response to peterpica)I found it too confusing with inconsistent results fooling around with cell styles & fills etc. Ended up creating a graphic box, applying my gradient to it, then sizing and rotating that box(es) before pasting into relative cells with zero inset margins. Thanks for tips & pointers tho.

P Spier Nov 30, 2011 7:59 AM (in response to peterpica)Are you still able to enter data properly into a cell that has one of these pasted graphics?

6. Re: Gradient Fills in Table Cells
peterpica Nov 30, 2011 8:33 AM (in response to P Spier)Yes, if pasted box is smaller than cell; I resize graphic manually as necessary to fit cell (PITA). No need to add text, however, as it's a continuous form (old, impact printer form) with 'open fields'... form's run through a line-printer with variable data printing in these gradient areas. The forms printers used these frequently to make it difficult for others to reproduce their forms. I know... I worked for a forms company a few years ago.

7. Re: Gradient Fills in Table Cells
P Spier Nov 30, 2011 8:39 AM (in response to peterpica)OK, that makes sense. I don't think this would work if you actually had to add text to the form in ID, though.
