I've been renaming topics (including file names) and may have made a mess of the map file.
I've found problems like this:
Thanks.

One more question: Why are there topics with an RB before the name? Where did they come from?

Hi,
1. You can delete map id's from Project Set-up > Context Sensitive Help > Map files > Map file. Or you can open the map file and alias file directly and remove the id's from there.
2. Try Tools > Reports > MapIDs
3. MapIDs that are linked to topics that don't exists anymore show up as broken links. See Project Manager > Broken Links
4. Never seen those before. Could they come from an import or linking action? Perhaps it's a remnant of an older version.

Thanks for your help but of the four Map IDs in the graphic above, only the first is valid. The other three don't appear in the map file (BSSCDefault.h) and I can't find any way to delete them from the RH GUI (including Project Set-up > Context Sensitive Help > Map files > Map file).
What is the name of the alias file?
Thanks again.

Hi,
Perhaps the map IDs are stored in a different alias file. The BSSCDefault.h is just the default file. A map file can be stored anywhere. Just browse under Map files to see whether you can find it.
The alias file is called $PROJECTTITLE$.apj, like your XPJ is called $PROJECTTITLE$.xpj

Sorry, the APJ file only points to the default map file. And I only have the default map file under the Map files in the Project Set-up pod. I guess I'll just have to leave the invalid map IDs as there is no way to delete them.
Thanks for your help.

I did some more digging and found the problematic Map IDs in the $PROJECTTITLE$.ali file. RH help states that this file is created when you update Map IDs.
So I renamed the file to save it, and updated a Map ID hoping that RH would generate a new ALI file. But RH only created an empty file. Plus all the Map ID icons turned yellow:
Plus it looks like you can only assign topics one-at-a-time. Is there any way to assign all the topics at once?

Only with a script. It might be easier to just copy your old .ali file and remove the unwanted IDs from there.
