Why am I receiving error messages when using my ID in process to download a library book?

I am trying to set up my iPad to download a library book. When I use my Adobe ID, and hit return, I get an error message. I've checked my ID, and it is set up, so I don't understand the problem. The error message is no. 2004, authorization request issues. Any advice?

Which application are you using (Overdrive or Bluefire).  You will need their help to decode the error message.
