NotEnoughHours Dec 15, 2011 6:28 AM (in response to Jeff Bellune)Thanks Jeff. In this case, I should have mentioned that my customer is able to play other MPG files without any issue. In this particular case, I was editing an existing video - I simply deleted a scene and exported a new MPG. Client can play the original MPG, he just can't play the one I exported. Sorry - I should have mentioned that in the original post. Any idea why this might be the case, and what I could try to fix this?
I've read a lot about codecs recently btw - but I don't really understand how to identify what codec an existing file has - or what options I have when exporting. Might it be the codec I'm using that is incomptable with Macs?

NotEnoughHours Dec 15, 2011 7:08 AM (in response to joe bloe premiere)Cheer Joe - that was easy. So, I discovered the original file is MPEG-1 Layer 2. I don't see an option to export with that codec in CS5.5 - am I missing something?
OK - I'm going to try the quicktime H.264 and see if that will work for them anyways...
Thanks guys!
