I am on RH8 and contemplating using the Air output. However, some of our documentation needs to be secure, that is, not web connected. The CHM has been working fine. I am just trying to offer more options but in a secure way.

Not web connected in what way? No access to the web from within the help? Locally installed AIRHelp currently fails on that one - determined users can still access the web (provided their machines are allowed access to the web). There's no way of turning off the RSS feed option in the skins (yet).

secure so that there are no holes, such as RSS feed and anything else that allows web access.

Then locally-installed AIRHelp won't work for you - there's still holes like that. I even found that when you mark topics as favorites, you can type web addresses into them and it will launch the site in the topic pane. There's still not enough control over the elements in the skins in RH9 - but it's a start - in RH8 you had no choice of much of anything concerning AIRHelp.

How do you prevent web access through your CHM file? It's a simple task to access any website from the CHM (provided the machine has access to a network).

Hi there

To my knowledge there simply isn't a way to totally prevent access as you are asking about.

Cheers... Rick
