Tried to up grade when I was asked to a while ago and when I did nothing would work, so I uninstalled the old adobe reader and tried again and got the message " no valid sequence could be found for the set of patches" the download continues and says it has installed but it hasent. everything I use needs adobe reader for me to see statment's etc so I cant get any thing to work I tried removing everything I could belonging to adobe and tried to install again but this just keeps happening. im running on windows xp 32 bit its just a home computer.

Please can you help me.

I have the same issue. Downloading the full installer resulted in the same error meassage.

The following article while old fixed the issue for me. Registry editing is required so please backup your registry before making any changes.

A reboot was required before reinstall of Reader succeeded.
