1. Re: mixing DSLR with HDV footage NTSC, PAL. CS5.5
JSS1138 Dec 20, 2011 8:38 PM (in response to Saad Khan)Skip the first stuff (best not to mix NTSC and PAL).
Edit in a sequence matching the second, and scale down the third.

MontyPython Dec 20, 2011 8:50 PM (in response to JSS1138)Frame rates or not 'NTSC' or 'PAL'. I have edited both before and the results were fine.

Saad Khan Dec 20, 2011 10:08 PM (in response to MontyPython)Thank you to both of you. I've done a little research and it says that I'm best to convert NTSC to PAL in After Effects. I will be creating a PAL After Effects composition with the setting I want, then adding the NTSC footage to the composition, and then tell it to fit the composition width as well as add frame blending/pixel motion, and then I will add to render queue. Does this sound right?

4. Re: mixing DSLR with HDV footage NTSC, PAL. CS5.5
Ann Bens Dec 21, 2011 9:28 AM (in response to Saad Khan)Just edit it all in a HDV1080i25 timeline as you already doing, then export to dvd as discussed in the other thread except for setting Frame Blending ON.
There is no ntsc and pal in HD, that's only for DV.
