I installed the new version of flash player for windows. During installation it asks to close my mail box = incredimail. Even after the closing of incredimail, it continues to ask me to close incredimail.
I closed windows and on the reopening I did not activate incredimail and coul install the new version of flash player. I got a message : adobe flash player installed with success.
I opened my mail box = incredimail and when I wanted to use flash player I got a message : flash player should be installed... what's impossible.
With the preceeding version of flash player, I had no problem.
Can you help me ?

Thanks a lot but did not work. When I wanted to uninstall flash player, I got a message saying conflict with incmail.
I rebooted the pc before uninstalling and did not open incmail. I could uninstall flash.
I rebooted once and automatically, the system proposed me to install flash player. I did "run" and flash was "installed successfully" (said the system).
When I wanted to open a programme using flash, I got the message "flash player has to be installed on the pc".

Do you have another browser installed you can use to test Flash with?
If not, download Firefox from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/ but don't open Incredimail with it for the time being.
Then go to these two sites to download both versions of Flash.
The go to the About Flash player again and see if it makes any difference. Here's the link again: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
With regard to Incredimail, if the user chooses the default installation, Incredimail hijacks your search engine and home page. This might be interfering with the Flash installation which is why I don't want you to open it with Firefox for the time being.

Unfortunately, it won't make any difference to IE8 because that browser needs an ActiveX control to run.
I think your best option as far as IE8 is concerned will be to uninstall Incredimail, then install Flash, then reinstall Incredimail again. There's a screenshot of it here: http://www.calendarofupdates.com/updates/uploads/dsfiles/U1-1255194614.png You need to click the "Custom Installation" option at the bottom before you click "Next" so that your browser doesn't get hijacked again.

Thanks a lot
I'll try later your solution a I am not a specialist in Internet and in informatica
In any case, I opened incmail when my browser was firefox and flash player was functionning through incmail and firefox.
But when I tried with IE8, it was no more functionning. So it is well a problem with IE.
I'll be contacting you tomorrow.

Hello,
I tried your last proposal (december, 15th). I uninstalled incmail
I installed flash player and than I opened calendarofupdate..... I got the installation of incmail but it was blocked. No possibility to click on custom installation. The only possibilitywas to install "in a classic way" incmail and than ... no pissibility to use flash player.
I think that when uninstalling incmail, there is a part of the programme staying in the memory or on the hard disk of the computer.

Here's the Incredimail support site: http://help.incredimail.com/english/help/im/uninstall_incredimail.html
Did you uninstall using that method?
Also, make sure you reboot after uninstalling it, even it it doesn't mention that you have to do so.

Hi Xircal,
I tried many times your last proposal... with the same result. I uninstalled incmail, I rebooted my comp. I installed flash player and installed incmail with custom installation. It does not work, although Hiyo from Incmail sent a new version supposed being compatible with the new Flash Player version.
I am really fed up with this bloody problem.

There's a paid for uninstaller on this site, but I don't know if it works: http://www.pchell.com/support/incredimail.shtml

You're welcome.
Was your problem due to Incredimail as well, or just with your AV interfering with the installation?

I am having the same problem as everyone else. I have a Win 7 64bit OS. I tried installing both 32, and 64 bit versions, and I have the same issue. I have followed every instruction, and mutliput restarts, installs and uninstalls. If you at Adobe haven't figured it out yet; that it's a problem on your end; well it's a problem on your end.
