Version Control Tutorial

I am publishing a reference manual and want to put it under version control. I also need to provide access to a team of authors and editors.

I've checked the Adobe on-line tutorials and the one included with RoboHelp HTML, but could not find any instructions on using version control with WebHelp/WebHelp Pro.

Does anyone know of a good, comprehensive instruction on setting up and using version control?
