I downloaded a PDF purchase invoice from B&H photo for an item I just purchased in order to send a copy in for a rebate. Not sure why but it came in landscape and of course it had much white space on the right hand side. Didn't discover that until I opened the file to attach it to the Rebate form. I tried changing the format to portrait when generating the copy to send by printing to PDF, but that didn't work.
I read the online help file for Acrobat Pro 8 (my current version) but no help there other than what I already tried.
I just searched the forum and did not get a hit recognizable as other than what i tried & saw in help.
It's just amazing that even though I can go in & crop the page to get something that will work, my curiosity has me held hostage thinking that Acrobat Pro 8 should have that capability, but I can't find out where it is or how to do it.
Can this be done simply without having to resort to programing? If so, please tell me how to do it or where to find instructions.
If it can't be done, please tell me what I'm missing in thinking one format should be able to be changed into the other.
Thanks,
Adobe-ily Challenged Ken
A quick solution, though not optimal: Use the crop tool to set the size in the rotated form. Then print to a new PDF with expand to fit selected. You may have to play with the orientation in the print, but it should do the job.
