have you contacted AJA support ???
They are really helpful.....but looking at your spec "AJA Driver v 9.1, AJA Adobe Plugin v 9.0.1"....I think 9.1 driver needs 9.1 Adobe plugin not 9.0.1. you can find a link to it here http://www.aja.com/support/konaNEW/kona-lhe-lh.php
I could SWEAR I downloaded that exact package yesterday and it downloaded it as v9.0.1. I must've been on some wrong page or something.. Doesn't make sense.
But now the AJA works fine! Audio is a bit iffy but at least it's a start.
We have a similar setup (also switchers from FCP to PP), but are using the LHe for audio only at the moment. It's clean. We do have the Nivdia 4000 card and I had heard you couldn't get both video out with the AJA and the Mercury playback benefits w/CUDA. Haven't had a chance to check that out yet though.
Hi Glitchdog, i'm not seeing the issues your seeing in fact i got a massive boost when AJA rev'd their plugin in June http://www.aja.com/news/index_article.php?id=150 now i have multiple streams of prores and DVCProHD rockin my timeline :-) the version 9 plugins made a big different for me.
Awesome! Glad to hear it. We need to do some tests. Still, here's what I understand and someone can let me know if I've got this all wrong. It does look like your link from AJA contradicts my understanding. Anyway, here's what I've been told, if you want to play video out to a broadcast monitor via LHe or any Kona card you've got to use the AJA provided timeline presets, which wasn't the case with FCP. If you choose those presets in PP then you loose the CUDA hardware exceleration that you get from the Nvidia 4000 card.
The CUDA thing does not help with muitlple streams of video, but does help with various effects, like the three-way color corrector, etc. So I'm guessing that you have to choose one over the other. I am glad to hear that you are getting plenty of streams, very cool, is some of that your RAID though?
We do have the latest AJA drivers, just haven't tested anything but audio yet. Boy, would i love to be wrong on this one.
