    Failed to load the folio

    dpsCygnus Community Member

I updated the Folio Producer Tools and the Folio Panel this morning (in that order...thanks Bob).

Now when I try to preview a page with an overlay (I just tried slideshow) I get this message.

If there are no overlays, it previews fine.

Do I have the right version of Adobe Content Viewer?

If not where do I get it?

If this is the right version, why am I getting this error?

My guess is that you have the right version of the viewer but there's something wrong with your MSO. Try creating a simple MSO and turning on swipe. If that works, you know the viewer is fine. Let me know if it doesn't work.

            Hi Bob,

I did have the wrong viewer (see attached).

Don't know why it didn't get updated with the new tools, but my coworker's got updated just fine (same procedure).

My solution was to just copy the newer version from her computer to mine and all is working fine now.

Just thought I let you know in case someone else has same problem.

            thanks,

            Dave

Glad you figured it out. Next time, if you're not able to copy the Adobe Content Viewer from another computer, you can delete (Mac - Applications > Adobe) or uninstall (Windows) the viewer before installing the Folio Producer tools. If the new viewer still doesn't install, you can install it manually by drilling down in the installer files. On a Mac, it's AdobeDigitalPublishing-mul > payloads > AdobeContentViewer-mul > AdobeContentViewer.air.
