lasvideo Jan 25, 2012 6:51 AM (in response to robirdman1)Did you ceat the sequence by dropping a clip on the MAKE SEQUENCE icon on the bottom lower right of the Project Menu (looks like a page turn symbol) ? This will generate a sequence based on the clip.

3. Re: sequence clip with red line above
robirdman1 Jan 25, 2012 9:47 AM (in response to robirdman1)Originally, I created the sequence by matching the camera settings, and then imported all the video clips. that's why I don't know why 4 would have yellow lines and 2 red, since they were all from the same source camera and day. All had been put on one sequence.
After finding I could have separate sequences within a project, today, I dragged the original, untrimmed AVI files to the new sequence box so they would match for sure, and then I copied and pasted the same (but trimmed) file to this sequence, so each of the 6 has its own sequence. Still the 2 have the red line. I didn't find any effects to clear either.

Stephen_Spider Jan 25, 2012 4:46 PM (in response to robirdman1)so your Nikon D300 records avi files?
**************** edit
I guess it does. I couldn't find any info on what actual codec it uses.
Was the in camera edit feature used?

Bill Hunt Jan 25, 2012 5:24 PM (in response to robirdman1)Out of curiosity, what is the CODEC inside the AVI "wrapper?"
The reason that I ask, is that Nikon has used MJPEG for many of their cameras, that also shoot video. I just do not recall what the specs. of the D300 are.
Good luck,
Hunt

robirdman1 Jan 25, 2012 7:10 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)I don't see where this information is. Not in the properties of the files. I don't remember Nikon supplying that info.

Ann Bens Jan 26, 2012 3:13 AM (in response to robirdman1)If you go to the Nikon site and look under specifications of the camera you will find that the camera shoots avi's with the m-jpeg codec in 1280x720.
Premiere CS5.5 native supports footage of the Nikon D300s.
