I'm beginning to wonder if my Robohelp went corrupt. I previously posted an issue I have with highlighting colors not staying after I set them. They randomly revert to gray, and I don't know why. I have to keep going back to reset the color, and it usually takes me three or four tries before it sticks. Now I'm having an issue setting the color of visited hyperlinks.
I know I set the color once and it worked, but now I have to change it and I can't. I have followed the instructions in help, and recompiled, and republished any number of times. I right click the .css file in the Project Manager and select Edit. I change the color in the Styles dialog. That is the only set of instructions that appears in Adobe help,
Could there be some hidden control somewhere that overrides this command? Could the culprit be Word? I import my documents from Word. Please advise what you think.
Hi, namedujour
What you have discovered is that Word in its wisdom during the conversion process has added an Embedded Style to the top of your imported topics.
If you look in the HTML View of the topic, you will find code similar to this at the top of the topic before the Head element:

BTW, the WD_ prefix in front of some of your styles shown in your screenshot, suggests that you have not updated your RoboHelp to 9.0.2.
(This doesn't affect your issue, but, still you should update.)
Check the Adobe Robohelp Update page to download that free service release.

Thank you! I went into Word and changed the color of the embedded style "FollowedHyperlink" - which I didn't see in my Styles before because I hadn't selected View All Styles in my template. So now all is well with my new topics. I'll have to go in and change the code for existing ones, though.
Thank you for your help!

You can just go into the topics and remove the code. That way you will avoid future problems.

Peter, Did I select the right code to delete below? Or do I take out any of the preceding code - or the entire portion beginning with <link ?

Actually, I figured it out. I just went in and did a full scale search and replace for the color code. That only took a minute. Thanks!

Leave the link line in, that is the CSS file your topic is using.
