1. Re: NTSC : I have mixed 24p & 30p footage, what should my AME mpg2 dvd settings be? "Lot's of Jittering"
JSS1138 Jan 31, 2012 1:12 PM (in response to Steve from NY)Couple of things.
Jitter while panning is not uncommon, even for Hollywood, if the pan is too fast. 24 fps just doesn't lend itself well to smooth pans if you go too fast. So keep in mind that this is something that may not be fixable without a reshoot.
Next, 30p can't go onto Blu-ray at any resolution. You're limited to interlaced at 30 fps.
With those caveats out of the way, I'd ask how was the 24p captured? What camera was used and in what mode?

Steve from NY Jan 31, 2012 1:21 PM (in response to JSS1138)Thanks Jim,
The 24p foot was supplied to me on an original camera sd card. Not sure what cam.
If i have all 30p footage or all 24p, I should have a 30p/24p sequence right? Then when i encode for dvd should I select the same 30p/24p for the mp2 dvd or do i force it into 30i anyway along the line? I out put every job to Bluray & dvd ntsc
