using the wrong source material in a wrong sequence with wrong settings on a wrong platform with the wrong components.
Hard to tell with the complete lack of information whether it is #1, #2, or any other number. See Some suggestions... and answer at least the 16 questions at the end of the Wiki article.

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... a screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing

Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project
