Sandra C Manning Feb 3, 2012 4:45 PM (in response to Barbara B.)Thanks, Barbara, for your reply. I'm a technological novice and not sure that I understand your answer. Is irfanview an online program? Will I ultimately be able to save the photos on the drive where I have my other photos organized? Wasn't really clear why that happened to random photos. . . Thanks again for your help.

I just dig out this problem on other forums and found this post : http://forums.adobe.com/message/3625238
See if that helps.
Do check if all of the images have the correct and same extension.
Also try opening the image on mspaint and saving it as JPEG once again and then opening it Organizer once again.
Thanks

Another suggestion was made to download http://www.irfanview.com/ . It is a free utility program, according to Barbara B.; and, it seemed to miraculously work! I'm back in photo-tweaking business! Thanks again for your help. Sandy
