Basic Verity search fails

I'm totally new to Verity so this may be obvious, but I'm getting zero results. A collection shows up in the CF Administrator. When CFIndex runs, there are no error messages. CFSearch returns squat.

The goal is to search PDFs, but I added a *.cfm file and a *.doc file with the criteria word to the directory in question just to see if the would show up.

One oddity: When I try to index using the CFAdministrator, the values for the listed collection -- types of files, path, return URL -- are always back the default setting (the path is blank) and the collection is not mapped.

Try removing the * from the extensions. Just use .pdf,.cfm,.doc
