    Creative Suite standard trial.

    malcolangelo Community Member

Last night I downloaded a trial version of Creative Suite Standard CS5.5, In Design went to opening screen and stated "this product is not corectly licensed and will now close" and promptly did so. Ilustrator also closed but without a warning or a warning i didn't see as I left the computer breiflly and only saw the screen closing. Photoshop and bridge opened fine (Bridge was a bit stally) and Acrobat proX loaded fine though I did not go into it as I was keen to start with Id. I tried several times but with the same results sometimes with a final message "your trial period has ended this is you one last log in" but it didn't when I went "continue trial".

I was aware of a warning that system did not meet minimum requirements for "Id", I have a Intel Pentium 2 not a pentium 4, i note however that Photshop etc also states that they require a pentium 4 but no warnings were shown aginst Acrobat X pro, Ps, or illustrator Acrobatand Ps seemed to operate fine and I did try a little edit In PS, I have Pse an Pre.

In frustration I uninstalled the suite and cleaned up with "AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool" today and downloaded an individual trial for Id, only to have the same results so far. I am sure there is an answer somewhere within all the suport provided on site but if someone can point me in the right direction or give me a solution it would be great.

And what exactly are the system specs? I'm afraid you may simply have to accept that your system is not qualified, but we may be able to at least easer some of the pain...

Mmh, should not be a problem. The E-series chips, while not splendid, should handle this just fine. The low memory could be a problem, though. Many programs require 2GB. You may realyl simply be pushing your system too much. if you can, also try to experiment with your screen resolution. Some programs just respond oddly to too small or odd sizes. Beyond that I'm afraid there's really not much you can do.

                Thanks Mylenium,

Yeah I thought it should be able to handleit, my CAD and rendering applications run fine, I have been considering upgrading my RAM to its max with XP of 3 GB( the spec say 1GB should be fine), and eventually windows 7 64bit to get the full 8 GB.

I note there seems to be lots of issues with trial in the forum. I am just trying to teach myself the various Digital design suites starting with standard and using the curriculums available on the education exchange, I will carry on learning Ps CS5 which I have downloaded individually I will try the screen resolutions. (didn't work).
