flash 11 install script errors solution

Was getting script errors trying to download latest flash.  Turned off Norton with right click on yellow task bar, unistalled old flash with the adobe uninstaller...all no help.  Then on a hunch tryed Java Test to see if it was working, and it told me I had an older version of  java.  Once I updated java, then the script errors went away and flash installed properly.  FYI.

What is Java Test that you tried? I get script errors when trying to install Flash Player.
