    Upagrading from CS2 to CS5.5 Design Standard

      I'm here for some re-assurance and hand-holding really, as these new style installations seem to get more complicated despite all the unconvincing blurb about how easy it is.

      I've ordered CS5.5 upgrade - at last - because

      a) CS2 (especially Illustrator) on Win7 32 is a bit clunky to say the least;

      c) I'm struggling to open/edit files from newer versions; and

      b) Adobe made me an offer of 20% off which I couldn't refuse.  (CS5.5 for £444 + VAT is excellent value.)

      The disks should arrive early next week from Adobe in Dublin, having probably shared a ferry boat with a dozen 30,000 litre articulated tankers full of Guinness.

      I guess it's just a matter of inserting them one by one, and I expect it'll be the usual Adobe convention of checking the existing licence number (from the installed apps or their installation disk?) and installing a new version along side the old. Am I correct?

      I see there are lots of thread about what happens when the new CS5.5 app opens the old style files, so I'll check them out in due course.

      Iechyd da!

      John.
