Lee Jay Feb 15, 2012 11:52 AM (in response to tidaldesigns)That's the white balance slider you're adjusting? Looks like it worked just fine to me.

tidaldesigns Feb 15, 2012 12:22 PM (in response to Lee Jay)no, thats the TONE slider in ADJUSTMENTS using the BRUSH. Any other ideas?
the only slider moved was the very top slider, all the way to the left in the 2nd picture.
There is no white slider under the adjustment brush option.

Lee Jay Feb 15, 2012 12:33 PM (in response to tidaldesigns)Looks to me like you moved the "Temp" slider (White Balance temperature).

Victoria_Bampton Feb 15, 2012 12:34 PM (in response to tidaldesigns)The screenshot's a little small to see in detail, but the first slider is temperature, not tone. Your screenshot shows that it's gone from warm white balance to much cooler, which is the expected behaviour. Is there something else you were expecting?

And as Lee Jay pointed out (correctly) the top slider in Process Version 2012 (which it seems you are using) is the Temp slider for adjusting white balance. The first tone slider is actually the third slider named Exposure.

tidaldesigns Feb 15, 2012 1:12 PM (in response to Lee Jay)yes, my apologies, to all, I meant TEMP, not TONE... what I meant to ask about the 'TONE' of the 'TEMP' slider not changing much at all. I shouldn't have used the word TONE at all.
yes,I am using PV 2012.
Is the TEMP just suppsed to change slightly? I mean, I slid it all the way to the left and it just appeared to me to remove some of the saturation of the area brushed. I can't see the temp changing much if at all. It just looks desaturated but still warm. *make sense*?
and yes, my monitor is calibrated using i1match calibrator and software (if that even matters)
So, if this slider IS working properly, then - what would be the best case scenario to 'fix' the hot orange from the sunrise if this is not the slider I should be using. I know it can't be neutralized completely, but some ideas on how to fix in the adjustment area would be cool.
Thx Jeff for clairfication.
I obviously misspoke. srry again.

No...there's a known bug about that.

tidaldesigns Feb 15, 2012 1:44 PM (in response to Lee Jay)thanks - - good to know even though i misspoke, I was right that what I was seeing doesn't look right. -
so, ill work in lr3 for situations like this.
Thanks Lee Jay. Appreciate it.
Thx everyone else for participating, I gues I would have had lee jays answer at the beginning if I didnt use the word tone. Sorry to waste ya'lls time.

Lee Jay Feb 15, 2012 1:48 PM (in response to tidaldesigns)LR3 won't help - it doesn't have local temp or tint.
