1. Re: Timeline Problem in Encore
Stan Jones Feb 19, 2012 7:10 AM (in response to wayne greensill)Exported out using AME. It's at the same point everytime what ever I try doing.
Do you see the jump when you play the file exported using AME?

wayne greensill Feb 19, 2012 7:20 AM (in response to Stan Jones)Hi Stan,
Thank you for getting in touch. Yes I get the jump going though AME too. I have just uninstalled everything including Matrox Mx02 mini and reinstalled it with all the latest updates and I still have the problem.
This is so confusing and frustrating!
Thanks

Stan Jones Feb 19, 2012 7:51 AM (in response to wayne greensill)Yes I get the jump going though AME too.
To be clear, I am asking about playing the exported file with something like vlc player, not in Encore. Is that what you did? My point would be that, if you see it in the Premiere export, it has nothing to do with Encore.
I could not remember earlier where I had heard of this problem before. It may have been matrox. Check the matrox and video drivers and be sure all are updated.

wayne greensill Feb 19, 2012 8:04 AM (in response to Stan Jones)Hi Stan
I will try exporting it out of AME again and try it in VLC player and let you know. If do come across the answer to this problem I would be most grateful if you could let me know.

wayne greensill Feb 19, 2012 8:39 AM (in response to Stan Jones)Hi Stan,
I have exported the clip out through AME and played it back through VLC and I still got the jump. So could this mean there is an issue with AME or could it be a problem with the capture? I have noticed as well playing the clip through VLC the part where it jumped before is now pixelated.
Oh! I forgot to mention this is only DV footage I'm working with too.

Stan Jones Feb 19, 2012 10:21 AM (in response to wayne greensill)Does it play smoothly through it on the Premiere timeline?

8. Re: Timeline Problem in Encore
Stan Jones Feb 19, 2012 12:23 PM (in response to wayne greensill)This still sounds like an issue in the source footage.
But I might test that a bit further:
Change the work area, so the clip will start half way though. Export. Is the "bad spot" gone, somewhere else, or in the same place?

9. Re: Timeline Problem in Encore
wayne greensill Feb 19, 2012 12:41 PM (in response to Stan Jones)It's in the same place, so it must be from when I have captured from the tape on my camera, Canon XHA1s, into premiere then do you think?

wayne greensill Feb 19, 2012 4:28 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Hi Stan,
Problem solved! It was the footage that I had captured earlier that was the problem. Can't understand why it seemed to play fine in Premiere though?
Anyway thank you for all your help much appreciated. I will leave you in peace now lol.
Kind regards
