1. Re: Pixel Edge Extension
c.pfaffenbichler Feb 23, 2012 1:06 AM (in response to Dr Missile)Extending the edges should be fairly easily achieved with an Action or a Script which could then be batched.
Of course for an Action it would be convenient of all images were of the exact same dimensions.

Dr Missile Feb 23, 2012 1:10 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)Thank you for the prompt reply c.pfaffenbichler...
Alas, the images are of differing dimensions.

c.pfaffenbichler Feb 23, 2012 1:27 AM (in response to Dr Missile)How many pixels extra do you need added?
An Action using the Single Row and Single Column Marquee Tool to lift the top and left pixel lines to new Layers, then rotate 180˚ to do the same for bottom and right edge, rotating back, increasing Canvas Size and then transforming the 4 newly created Layers numerically and setting the AnchorPoint in the Options Bar could work regardless of format.

4. Re: Pixel Edge Extension
Trevor.Dennis Feb 23, 2012 1:35 AM (in response to Dr Missile)Content Aware Fill. It could have been made with canvas printing in mind when you need meaningful pixels to wrap round the frame.

c.pfaffenbichler Feb 23, 2012 2:10 AM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)Good idea.
And that can also be used in an Action.

6. Re: Pixel Edge Extension
Dr Missile Feb 23, 2012 11:15 AM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)Trevor.Dennis, unfortunately, because of the nature of the files (a combination of image and graphic) content aware fill creates a jumble of unusable content. Thanks for the tip though . I need 40 pixels extra on each edge

7. Re: Pixel Edge Extension
Trevor.Dennis Feb 23, 2012 11:54 AM (in response to Dr Missile)Add the canvas size, and then select small sections of it for CAF to do its thing with. You might be better with a combination of CAF and Patch tool (for the graphic elements).

8. Re: Pixel Edge Extension
c.pfaffenbichler Feb 23, 2012 10:57 PM (in response to Dr Missile)If you are OK with the final row of pixels being extended that far an Action as outlined above can do that and be run on a Batch, with Image Processor or via droplet.
