Could you try disabling hardware acceleration in IE to see if that changes anything?  In addition, would you be willing to give this a try with Chrome to see what the behavior there is?

How to enable or disable software rendering in Internet Explorer 9

Thanks,

Chris

Could you try clearing your Flash cache and settings to see if that helps?  You can do this with the following steps:

1. Open your Windows control panel

2. Double click the Flash Player (32 bit) control panel

3. Select the Advanced tab

4. Click the Delete All... button

5. Click the Delete Data button and restart your browser

Hi Chris, thank you for your reply.

I have taken the steps described above today and I'm afraid the problem still persists.

If you have any other ideas I would be very thankful for them.

Thankyou. 😃

Thanks for trying Kyle.  When you say banners are not appearing, is that for all sites or just itvPlayer?  Do you have any ad blocking applications or extensions enabled?  This sometimes causes video streams to fail (though usually audio is also disabled.)  Unfortunately, I'm unable to test against itvPlayer because the stream is not available outside the UK.

Yes every sites ad banners are not working ( or they are just flickering ) but are still operational, I have attached a few screen shots for you, one of a video, one of an ad banner and one of the Adobe sign in button not displaying correctly. I am not aware of any ad blocking extensions on my PC, and audio is almost always fine. The problem isn't solely on itvplayer either.

Thanks

Kyle

Ok, thank you Chris I have found the problem and it was rather simple, I have now checked the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering* box

and everything is now working as it should.

For Windows 7:

Control Panel -

Network and Internet -

Internet Options -

Advanced Tab -

Accelerated Graphics-

Check Box.PNG

Thankyou

That you have to change I.E.9 to software rendering indicates that you should update your video driver.
