1. Re: Can i move a 2 drive raid 0 to another system without loosing the files?
JEShort01 Mar 2, 2012 9:57 AM (in response to Steve from NY)Yes, it can be done.
How - very carefully!
Make sure:
- you are connecting drives to identical SATA RAID 0 controllers on both PCs (ie Intel ICH10R on both)
- your motherboard bios is latest and greatest for PC you are moving to
- bios boot settings are identical for both PCs for the SATA controller you are using
- you make a good backup before making the move
Good luck!

JSS1138 Mar 2, 2012 11:03 AM (in response to Steve from NY)Personally, I would not try it. You disconnect those drives from the current system, and there's no guarantee they'll be recognized as a RAID on another system, or even on the same system if you reconnect them. (Happened to me.)

Scott Chichelli Mar 2, 2012 11:43 AM (in response to Steve from NY)in a word NO
has to be the exact same controller and even then highly unlikely without rebuilding the MBRs and getting very lucky
