Br0M0 Mar 6, 2012 2:26 AM (in response to sparkyhd)This us used for the video support within LR4. How do I know? Norton removed mine and video would not play in LR4. I restored them and it now works. Its also referred to here http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/ to disable Norton scanning LR4 files.

HansVanEijsden Mar 6, 2012 2:40 AM (in response to sparkyhd)Always read the Important Release Notes before installing.
You can find them here: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2012/03/lightroom-4-0-now-available.html
"Norton Antivirus 2012 incorrectly flags video related program files in Lightroom 4 as possible threats. Please instruct Norton Antivirus 2012 to exclude Lightroom 4 files from its scan.
McAfee Virus Scan prevents emails from being sent from Lightroom 4. Please instruct McAfee Virus Scan to exclude Lightroom 4 files from its scan."

d.p.middleton Mar 7, 2012 5:06 AM (in response to sparkyhd)Thank you for the note. Same here. I installed LR4 twice and twice Notron IS 2012 flagged an alert.
I suspect a false alert so I restored the file and its config file. Of course at my own risk.
