1. Re: Acrobat Pro X - Settings and Preferences
Bill@VT Mar 7, 2012 10:18 AM (in response to JGreg7)They moved a bunch of stuff around. I am pretty sure it is still there, but likely is no longer in the EDIT menu. I would suggest trying the tools or advanced menus, possibly even in the File menu following the lead of MS who took there options menu to the File menu.

JGreg7 Mar 8, 2012 7:27 AM (in response to Bill@VT)Thank you for your post.
The new version certainly did not make it easy. I just started turning everything I could find off and it eventually stopped - I am not sure which combination of switches it was.
The tool bar arrangement is still perplexing. I can't imagine that Adobe in it's infinite wisdom, would disable something as basic as tool bar customization, however I am still unable to move around the toolbars. In the previous Pro version, you could move evrything around to suit your needs.
I can add or subtract specific items, however they always show up in the exact same order no matter how I turn them off or on. The default tool bar order is definitely not efficient. (Whoever picked the tool bar evidently does not use Acrobat).
If anyone knows more about this, I would be glad to hear from them.

dave_m_k Mar 22, 2012 11:44 AM (in response to JGreg7)Good day,
We didn't disable toolbar customization, but rather changed it. While you can no longer position the tools exactly where you like them (Feel free to share your feedback on that change here: http://adobe.ly/WishForm ), you can customize the 'Quick Tools' bar with the tools you use most in the order you'd prefer.
Kind regards,
David
