How do I download the plugin for adobe flash?

trying to install adobe flasher player 64 bit. program keeps saying that I need to close internet explorer..which isn't running as I am installing from the download folder on my computer.  please give me some assistance.  am vey flustrated.

Anything that uses Flash Player needs to be closed for the installation:

• Internet Explorer
• any other browsers
• messenger apps
• Skype
• etc.

Check with Task Manager (Processes tab) what's running on your system.
