Need help uninstalling Flash Player to do a clean install.

Hi,

I'm feeling pretty stupid now, since I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

I'm running Windows 7/ 64 bit. I've got Flash player version 11.1.102.63

I'm having Spotify problems, and Spotify support asked me to uninstall and reinstall Flash Player before reinstalling Spotify. But I can't seem to get the blessed thing to uninstall.

I've killed everything killable on the toolbar. I've checked with Task Manager to see if any applications are running (none are). There are still processes running I've run the uninstaller in Administration mode and in user mode and in every mode I can think of, but when I restart after uninstalling, I've still got the Flash Player installed-- same version. I get no error messages when I run it, it just (apparently) doesn't work.)

Any ideas? Any stupid mistakes I might be making?

Windows

1. Download the current 64 bit uninstaller 
   • Uninstaller for 64 bit Operating Systems 
2. Close all browser windows and run the uninstaller 
3. Restart Windows 
4. Delete all remaining files and folders located in the following directories. (tip: copy and paste these paths into the path bar in an Windows Explorer window) 
   • C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash 
   • C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash 
   • %appdata%\Adobe\Flash Player 
   • %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player
5. Verify that the file “FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl” in C:\Window\system32\ for 32 bit systems or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ if you are using a 64 bit system, has been deleted.

Verify that Flash Player is uninstalled:  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

Yes, thank you. Adding the extra steps 4 & 5 did the trick.
