Dennis Smith Mar 18, 2012 8:55 PM (in response to Paul 999)It would certainly have been nice to have been told about ACR6.7 -- but if you used the "edit in -- ..." to ship to CS5 then you were were warned that the result might be incorrect and that you could use LR to pre-create a TIFF to get around the problem.

Paul 999 Mar 18, 2012 9:42 PM (in response to Dennis Smith)Yes, with no info there was a beta (am I being paid to beta test?). And I could use Capture One. But I paid for a final version. Adobe could take the trouble to suggest a solution.

Jeff Schewe Mar 18, 2012 10:10 PM (in response to Paul 999)Did ypu actually test Render Using Lightroom? That's the fall back situation when ACR and LR are out of phase...always has been since the earlier versions that get out of phase with ACR.
P.S. a little presumptuous to mark you own incorrect post as the "answer"...(since the answer is incorrect).
BTW have you ever heard of the Lightroom Journal? Maybe you should check it out...has the most recent LR4 "Hot Issues".

I'm all with you. Very frustrated with the undisclosed and major bugs of this relaese. I'm actually now back to Lr3 and am very reluctant to upgrade.
The major bugs I encountered are the "no photos in selected folder" issue when converting a Lr3 cat and the sluggishness. Both well documented in these forums, but no official acknowledgment from Adobe. Not to mention that now with the new sliders it takes longer to edit which doesn't suit my workflow.

Well, my copy of Lightroom warned me about the incompatibility of LR4 and PS CS5 with ACR 6.6. And this isn't a bug. Not every version of LR is directly compatible with Adobe Capture Raw in every version of Photoshop. It might be nice, but it's not a bug.
There certainly are bugs in Lightroom 4, and if Adobe published LR 4 knowing about them but without telling us in the Release Notes then that isn't very good customer service. But this issue of ACR compability can't accurately be called a bug.

Paul 999 Mar 19, 2012 12:15 PM (in response to Jeff Schewe)Yes, I did attempt to render. The problem is solved.
