I'm not clearly understanding the question, but you can change the clips right on the timeline. Right click the clip and you can change camera angles at will, apply Razor cuts to change angle between segments. So you can scrub through and make more accurate choices and changes this way.

Right I understand that.
Currently, when editing in the MC monitor, you press play, and you can then press '1' or '2' or '3' or '4' and record that camera to the sequence as your watching it, or you can stop and change the clips manually and adjust the cuts.
It would be helpful to me and perhaps to others, if instead of just recording the chosen camera angle over the sequence, we could also change the camera angle between the time indicator and the previous cut in the sequence, while watching the sequence, all with a keyboard shortcut.
That way, I can watch all 2 or 3 or 4 angles in the MC monitor, and choose which angle I like best, and insert that angle into the sequence, without stopping, instead of choosing the angle BEFORE watching it, and hoping that it's the best angle.
Ill include a picture to illustrate.
What you want can't be done live. Only afterwards in the sequence itself.
This is why editing multicam requires at least two posses, a rough cut and a tweak.
right, that's what i thought.
i just thought this might be a better way to multicam edit in some cases.
I think this might be helpful FEATURE REQUEST FORM.
you dont have to hit play to start it.
You can just scrub back and forth, only when you click a different angle will a cut be made.
Its easier for me this way since the timeline isnt playing.
I can go at my spead and pick what I want.
