How do I sort data in a List in my app?

Hi everyone,

I've been creating an asset management webapp in Flash/PHP/MySQL as a side project at work, previously having 0 experience in any of these. I've managed to google my way through a lot of it, but I can't seem to figure out how to sort data in a list. I have 4 columns, and want the user to be able to sort by all of them in ascending or descending order. I added buttons that have arrows that change direction every time you press them at the top of each column in the list, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the data to be re-sorted when I click them. Most of the coding I've done has been in the Main.mxml file and the PHP service file.

I'd appreciate any help or pointers to relevant resources.
