Thanks for answering. Yes, the images are attached to a style, but it is set for centered. As I mentioned, I only need to open the properties for ONE image in a topic and click OK for ALL the images in that topic to start working properly. I don't need to actually change anything. It's as though RH doesn't recognize that it's supposed to center them until I remind it.
It sounds like the CSS has some context-based settings that are formatting the image.
If you view the CSS as a text file, you can search for the tag to see if there are multiple CSS entries at work. Try commenting out any that seem odd to see if that fixes your problem.
(or, if that doesn't make sense, go buy lunch for your "web expert" and have them do the above!)
Can you post the html for the image?
Sure, here is the HTML code for one of the images. All the images I've checked, working or not, have identical code except of course the reference to the image file.
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="SSI_User_Manual_Chapter0200004.png" id="image4" src="SSI_User_Manual_Chapter0200004.png"
style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"
width="494" height="331" border="0" />
I searched the CSS and do not find duplicate entries. Perhaps the <div style="text-align: center;"> is a problem? I believe that RH is adding that because the graphics were centered in FrameMaker. It is not in my CSS.
hmm, so the <div> center looks to be overwritten by the <image> left
I've forwarded to Adobe's RoboAsh (Ashish Gupta) but they're likely gone for the weekend.
I've had luck fiddling with the Anchored Frame options in FM to get what I want. I can't recall what my settings were, but Below Current Line, and Centered/Left/Right always seem to have worked for me.
