The option "Never check for updates (not recommended)" does not do what it claims to do. Because I centrally manage updates, I do not want client machines checking for updates themselves. However, despite checking this button, I found that the Flash 11.2 installer creates a "Flash Player Update Service" and a scheduled task named "Adobe Flash Player Updater". This task is enabled and runs every hour.
I understand that I can kill the scheduled task and/or disable the service, but why should I have to? What part of "Never check for updates" is unclear??
