We have RoboHelp Server 9 and attempting to deploy our help (.air) file to the server, so that it can viewed via URL. RoboHelp and Adobe Air has been installed on the server successfully. We have access to the admin panel but the project is not showing up. Any suggestions on what we could possibly be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure that you don't need RH to be installed on the server. Did you generate browser-based AIR Help or the locally-installed version? They are different. See Peter's site for more info - grainge.org

Hi there

RoboHelp Server is generally intended for only the WebHelp Pro and FlashHelp Pro outputs. I don't believe there is yet any flavor of AIR Help that works in conjunction with the RoboHelp Server component. So if AIR output is what you want, RoboHelp Server is pretty much like owning an expensive condo in an exotic place that you never visit.

Cheers... Rick

.air is for local installation only. Browser based air help does not require RoboHelp Server and will not work with.

"RoboHelp and Adobe Air has been installed on the server successfully."

Do you mean RoboHelp has been installed on the server or RoboHelp Server has been installed on the server. The former is what you use to create help and must be on a local PC, not a server.

As to Adobe Air being on the server, what exactly did you install there.

It sounds like there is a lot of misunderstanding here of what goes where.
