JACK LARSON Apr 3, 2012 11:58 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)Yes, I do have it checked. (l think that it came in as the default.) I'm not complaining about the functionality of the filter; simply reporting.

5. Re: Liquify filter
Noel Carboni Apr 3, 2012 2:28 PM (in response to JACK LARSON)What video card do you have?
Do you have a PC or Mac?
If PC, visit the web site of the maker of your video card. If you haven't done this, specifically, recently then there is almost certainly a new one available for you to download and install.
If Mac, you get your video drivers through the operating system updates.

john worthington Apr 3, 2012 3:18 PM (in response to JACK LARSON)If the image in the preview has a one pixel black border your video card is not strong enough to run Liquify in the GPU mode and you are instead in CPU mode. Try pressing the Ctrl key immediately after you select Liquify. This should bring up an alert telling you exactly why Liquify has dropped back to the CPU mode.

JACK LARSON Apr 3, 2012 3:59 PM (in response to john worthington)Yep; you nailed it. Actually I am quite happy with the way that it is performing. I plan to get a new computer then end of the summer. The problem should be solved then.

JACK LARSON Apr 4, 2012 10:36 AM (in response to JACK LARSON)PS - even though I get some brief tiling on opening, I get real time rendering when using the filter. There is no lag whatsoever. And that is what is important to me.
