I would like to thank this genius, as it caused me hours of frustration, when the anti-virus clashed with nod32.  I also don't seem to be able to install this POS manually without getting the anti-virus.

I told the nod32 people that Adobe was a concentration of evil.  Seems I understated the case.  YOU SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLING A SECOND ANTI-VIRUS.

Jeez.

Srk052004 where are you installing the Flash Player from and which operating system are you using?  When I go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ I see an option for the Google toolbar.  Is this what you are referring too?

they are marketing their advertising space in teh installer. You should not be forced to install anything, it should only come up as an option. Still, I agree, though. Adobe's stance in the matter is dubious and highly questionable...

You can download the full installers (without any bundled software) from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Install_in_a_... (Windows).

Hopefully this will not happen again with the new silent background update; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981567
