Error message when dowloading books

Hi - have adobe digital editons on my computer - authenticated - however when I try to dowload 2 books that I have bought I get this error message:

Error getting license

License server communication problem: E_LIC_RESOURCE_UNKNOWN

How do I fix and get my books in a pdf format??

Also does anyone know if can download digital editions to my samsung galaxy tablet??

Hmmm.... Your post is a bit vague, so let me make some assumptions.

ADE installs on Windows or MAC platforms only, not on Android or Google

devices, so I assume that you are trying to install it on a Windows PC

(this also answers your second question). And, because this is 2012, I

assume that your Windows PC is running Windows 7.

Win 7 has security settings that can keep you from installing programs, and

I think this is the issue you're having. You need to allow ADE in those

settings. Several posts on the forum address the details in doing this, so

try searching the forum to get those.

Also, check the list of devices ADE supports (click

HERE)<http://blogs.adobe.com/digitalpublishing/supported-devices> to

make sure that your tablet is there.

E_LIC_RESOURCE_UNKNOWN indicates a server side problem (the server couldn't find the book to give it to you).

I would suggest contacting support for wherever you purchased the content from, as they will be the only ones able to help you.
