View/Proof Setup - which setting to use?

Photoshop CS6: I am uncertain about best setting for VIEW/PROOF SETUP.  Looking for best/correct setting for all round use.

          Bent,

It's not surprising you've had no replies.  You are asking for something that, by sheer definition, simply does not exist.  Period.

The whole concept of Soft Proofing is precisely to let you see what your image will look like in any one particular combination of paper, print and ink, or when displayed on a given monitor or device.  Choose exactly the conditions under which your image is to be printed or viewed each time.

That depends entirely on what you are trying to proof.

If you are trying to simlulate the appearance of your document when printed on your local printer, select the profile for that printer and paper type.

If you are trying to proof a press, select the profile for that press.
