Where are you saving this fileon desktop or on a network server.
Have you checked saving the file from the new user account.
Do you have any font management software ?

urdnot_wrex Apr 12, 2012 5:05 AM (in response to Manish-Sharma)The files that are being edited are on the desktop, but Indesign crashes before a location can be selected.
I have not tried saving from another account yet, I will give that a try.
Yes, we use Suitcase Fusion 3.

Peter Spier Apr 14, 2012 5:02 AM (in response to urdnot_wrex)Make sure you have the latest patch for Suitcase. If that doesn't work, remove the autoactivation plugin.

4. Re: Indesign CS4, CS5.1, CS5.5 all crash when saving files
John Hawkinson Apr 14, 2012 1:01 PM (in response to urdnot_wrex)Looking at your crash report, Suitcase does not appear to be implicated.
Instead, your crash is in this odd plugin:
com.adobe.InDesign.Telescope.sdk
Which appears to be in:
0x17274000 - 0x17292ff3 +com.adobe.InDesign.Telescope.sdk (7.1.2 - ???) <97F7B6BF-280E-4A72-4820-09258E50379F> /Applications/Adobe InDesign CS5.5/*/Telescope.sdk
I guess this is the North Plains TeleScope DAM system? Shame on them! They're not allowed to name their plugin "com.adobe.anything" if they're not Adobe!
Anyhow, try removing the plugin. Assuming that fixes it, contact them.

5. Re: Indesign CS4, CS5.1, CS5.5 all crash when saving files
urdnot_wrex Apr 17, 2012 6:37 AM (in response to John Hawkinson)John,
Removing the Telescope plugin resolved the issue (at least for now, InDesign will be "under observation" for a little while with this user). The user does not recall installing the plugin and we don't use it in our environment so I'm not sure how it got there - I assume it piggybacked off of some other application.
Thank you so much for your help with this, and thanks to everyone else who took the time to read and reply.
